Our Leadership Team

PRESIDENT

Max joined the Labor Party in 2016 because of the rise of far-right governments internationally, and because the Labor Party was the only progressive party of Government in Australia. Max wanted to be part of the party fighting for progressive change for all Australians, particularly in response to the climate crisis and in defending the social safety net.

Since joining the party, Max has served as Secretary of the UNSW Labor Club, Executive of the Northern Sydney Young Labor Association, Assistant Secretary of NSW Young Labor, and now President of NSW Young Labor.

SECRETARY

LJ joined the Labor Party in 2015 after being frustrated by Tony Abbott's regressive prime ministership and wanting to do something about it. She joined because of her deep belief in the ability of the Labor Party to affect progressive change, particularly in the areas of gender equality and broader social policy.

Since joining, LJ served as Secretary of the Macquarie University Labor Club, Executive of the Inner West Young Labor Association, and now the Secretary of NSW Young Labor. She has also worked on multiple election campaigns, helping elect a Labor Government at the State and Federal level.
